It was You

Verse 1 When I was weak, You became my strength, When I was tired, You carried me through, When my hands were empty and my heart was afraid, You never left me, You remained true. When I was walking through the darkest valley, When I could not see the way ahead, Your hand was holding me, Your voice was calling me, You gave me hope when my hope was dead. Chorus It was You, Lord, it was You, You fought every battle I could not fight through, You stood when I was weak, You stood when I was frail, You stood when the storms came like a raging gale. It was You, Lord, it was You, When everyone left, You still carried me through, God of Prophet David, I lift up my voice, You were my strength, You were my choice. Verse 2 When I was poor and had nothing to give, You showed me mercy, You taught me to live, When I was desperate and calling Your name, You came beside me and lifted my shame. When friends walked away and doors closed before me, When I was confused and lost in the night, You stood beside me, You never abandoned me, You were my shelter, my hope, and my light. Bridge Who fought for me? — It was You! Who stood for me? — It was You! When I had no strength to carry on, Your love became my victory song. The angels may witness, the heavens may see, The mercy You have shown over me, From the mountain of prayer, we call on Your name, Forever and always, You remain the same. Final Chorus (Choir) It was You, Lord, it was You, The battle was Yours and the victory too, You stood when I was broken, You stood when I cried, You held my hand and walked by my side. It was You, Lord, it was You, My testimony will always be true, God of Prophet David, receive all praise, You carried me through all my days. Outro (soft worship) It was You… Only You… My Lord, my God… It was You.
